VAXmate was the successor of the Rainbow 100 and DEC's first truly PC-compatible (or rather, AT-compatible) computer. This release comes on two 5.25" 1.2MB floppy disks and is dated 21st July 1986. The first disk includes DEC's VT240 terminal application for MS-DOS, the core system files of a pre-installed copy of Windows, and the contents of the Utility installation disk. The second disk contains files from the remaining installation disks, including applications and PIF files.

Bootscreen features a DEC logo instead of the Microsoft one, and says:
